On November 18th, the University of Edinburgh "2+2" and "4+1" joint training program briefing was held in Conference Room 316 of the Chenyi South Building. The briefing invited Francesca Coates, the admissions officer of the University of Edinburgh, and Associate Professor Li Wei from the School of Chemical Engineering as speakers, with Associate Dean Zhu Jiahua of the School of Chemical Engineering presiding over the meeting.
Zhu Jiahua welcomed the arrival of Francesca Coates and Li Wei. Li Wei provided a detailed introduction to the curriculum and requirements of the Chemical Engineering graduation design course at the University of Edinburgh. Drawing on his extensive teaching experience, he explained the course's design concepts and assessment methods in a clear and accessible way. At the same time, Professor Li also shared with the students the similarities and differences between this course and those in China, emphasizing the important role of international education in cultivating students' innovative thinking and practical abilities. Afterwards, Francesca Coates introduced the students to the historical heritage, academic atmosphere, and unique advantages of the Chemical Engineering program at the University of Edinburgh. Through vivid examples and detailed data, she showcased the university's outstanding achievements and international influence in the field of chemical engineering. She also provided a thorough overview of the joint training program between our university and the University of Edinburgh, including course structure, application procedures, and costs, offering students comprehensive information.
