Report Abstract

Carbon is one the important elements on the earth and its presence includes different forms. Carbon can be an important materials for many applications while it can also be presented as contaminants, inducing environmental problems to the eco-environment and human health. Emissions of carbon in CO2 to the atmosphere will cause climate change and global warming, requiring the global efforts for its reduction. Catalytic reactions provide effective techniques for transformation and utilization of different forms of carbon wastes to value-added products. In this presentation, I will present some progress in various catalytic processes for carbon waste conversion and utilizations for CO2, organic pollutants and plastics.
