Report Abstract:
Thermoelectric materials can be used in green energy conversion fields such as waste heat generation and solid staterefigeration. The thermoelectric properties of a material are determined by chemical bonds and microstructure. This report presentsthermoelectric materials design options from the perspective of chemical bond and cystal defects, with a focus on metavalentbonding and how three -dimensional atomic probe (APT) technology can be used to identify chemical bonding and crystal defectand quantify their effects on electron-acoustic transport.
